AMRO COLLEGE OF HOTEL MANAGEMENT ORGANIZES ANNUAL THEME DINNER ON 2nd MARCH 2013
By: Reena Soni
Like every year, the students of Amro College of Hotel Management, Rajur Bahula, Nashik, are organizing their annual theme dinner. This year’s theme is “Ghost in a Village”, giving a rustic village setting and featuring Indian and Mexican cuisine in the menu.
As per the norm of the hotel management course, the third year students are supposed to use the theoretical knowledge that have accumulated over 3 years of studies, and use that practically into organizing an event on their own merits. From choosing the theme, planning for it, designing the menu, marking the layout, getting sponsors and finally executing it all; all the work is done solely by the students, with only guidance
from the team of faculty at the college.
“Ghost in a Village” will be featuring various dance performances by students in keeping with the theme, as well as the popular Pune based band “Veda”, who will be coming
back to their home city after several years. Veda is an alternative folk rock band that is well known for their blend of rock elements accompanied by their more rustic and folk instruments, many of which will be seen on a Nashik stage for the first time.
The event will also feature a flairing performance by one of the college’s bartending students, that promises to be mesmerizing. A separate games zone will also be set up to ensure that guests have plenty to keep them occupied.
The menu will be a distinct mix of well known Indian flavours coupled with the spicy and zesty Mexican cuisine, ensuring that all guests will be able to try new flavours and tantalize their palates.
Last but not least, guests will be able to take home hand painted souvenirs made by the students so that they may cherish the memories of attending the event.
Those wishing to attend or wanting more information may get in touch with Amro
Institutes at (0253) 6511223 or (0253) 2029815.
