Ritvik, fellow band member and long time friend of Tushar also showed interest to something different. They approached Arbaaz who had worked with Ritvik’s band on one of their songs and was new to the city who had come to Nashik to pursue Architecture all the way from the land blessed with the lord of Metal Music, Mumbai.
So with having one of the best guitarist and drummer in the city who have played with huge names in the city scene and Arbaaz to fill in for vocals. They started what’s called today as Sense Of Tumour.
Soon filling in the empty spot was Arbaaz’s long time friend Tanmay. With addition of Tanmay to the band, it was a whole new level of music making.
In late 2012 Varun joined in on bass.
This completing the line up, Sense Of Tumour is already played with big names in the Indian Metal scene.

More Info :
Sense Of Tumour is a city based progressive metal band. It started after guitarist Tushar Joshi was sick of the hiatus of his previous band. He had an urge to make music and give the city something new. His ex-bands drummer Ritvik was also keen to play something fresh. Now vocalist Arbaaz Khan was the new kid in town at that time and Ritvik was one of the first people he met in Nasik that shared the same taste in music. Arbaaz also had the opportunity to perform with Rtivik’s initial band Diabolic Lords as one of the guest vocalist in their city debut gig. Each of them not being new to metal music teamed up to form something which we know as Sense Of Tumour.
They debuted at Blackout 2012 , which was the inception of the line of gigs happening in the city right now. Longtime friend of Arbaaz’s a guy known as Tanmay Kulkarni was called on to fill the spot as the second guitarist. Tanmay had already worked with Arbaaz earlier in Bombay. When vocalist Khan introduced the others to Tanmay’s music, they knew he was just the man to fill the spot. Since Blackout they have shared stage with a number of bands. Winter Metal Fest being where they shared stage with the like of Indian Metal Giants Demonic Resurrection, Albatross, and Providence. This gig also saw the debut of Varun Gopalkrishnan on bass. With this the lineup is now stable and complete. They have also shared stage with Zygnema.
With all this said they are currently working on new songs and recording them. They will be out with their songs in sometime. The band refuses to set any deadlines but they are sure to be coming out with some material in months’ time.
